The Team manager
will need to know racing here is conducted to rules as set down buy the
governing body IFMAR.
A world group was formed for the sport
so that in effect a world series was established , giving manufacturers
a criteria around which the cars can be built. The meetings here that you
as team manager would be in control of are run to we hope these rules.
Lap scoring is done by a computerized system called the AMBrc Digital decoder. This will record individual times for each car for any duration race that we have. You can purchase your own transponder for you car if you wish.
For the driver Qualifying is done generally by each the driver of each car having 5 minutes to complete as many laps as possible.
Finals here are generally 20 minutes with odd exception so if you TQ you start on Pole position which is pretty good and as chief mechanic you would expect a raise from the team manager. (I'd like to see that!)
Pitman Well the time has come the driver did his job now its your turn the cars have enough fuel in them for 5 minutes so what ya gonna do? hhhmmmm.
Its a half hour race looks like we have to have a fuel stop ....YES that's right! We have a fuel stop every 5 minutes so the driver comes into the pits carefully not hitting the wall stops in front of the pitman who refuels the car .This adds about 10 seconds to the lap so we again have the real F1 appearance.
