Message From The President
To all WARCMCC members
Just a short note to inform you of where the club is situated on a couple of important issues. The AGM was held on Saturday the tenth of October.
It was decided by a unanimous vote that the club would not continue with securing the lease on our current venue at Bayswater.
The decision to hand back the complex at Bayswater to the council was brought about by a number of issues that were out of our control.
I do not believe that an open letter is the correct place to go into these issues and if any members past or present would like more information concerning this please contact either David Braund or myself.
On a far happier note the club has been successful in securing another site subject to council approval.
David Braund has put together a very professional proposal and submitted this to the relevant council along with two different layouts for them to review. When the council has reviewed and hopefully approved these drawings they will supply us with a development approval so we can proceed with obtaining construction drawings and then ultimately construction. It will take approximately six to eight weeks to obtain the development approval.
I would like to thank Sean Gavin at Gavin construction for supplying the drawings free of charge to the club.
I would like to remind all members past and present to renew your membership as we need members on the books and we need funds to keep progressing with the new track.
Regards
Craig Lockwood

Message from the Committee
Well guys and girls 8 months have passed and a lot has happened.
As you know the AGM was held and basically they old committee was voted back in.
Firstly the committee would like to thank all the members and sponsors for there help.
Special mention to members Craig Lockwood, Chris Schmidt for there large donations.
Well…. Yes we do have land subject to planning approval and development approval.
Basically we need to meet the planning requirements for the area so we can get development approval.
So we need funds and members to carry this through to be racing ASAP.
Membership fees are as previous $80 full member $40 associate member
So come on join up….. numbers are what we need now.
This will help the club get up and running sooner.
Presently we are looking for a temporary track location to run gas cars.
This has been difficult due to the legal issues of insurance and liability.
So if you have any ideas or leads give us a call.
Now this is very important:
The club has been asked by the Katanning shire to put on a demonstration on the 14 th November 2009.
There are quite a few groups attending of various classes of cars
.
We have been asked to promote the RC cars as another recreation activity other than the usual footy, soccer, netball etc.
Katanning are looking at building a new RC track.
We need to give them all the support we can
.
So if your interested give the committee a call we will need the numbers.
Thanks again from the committee

IMPORTANT NEWS
The committee is sad to say that we have had bad news brought to us by the Bayswater Council.
Until we can prove that our cars are able to meet the noise requirements we are unable to commence racing.
Sundays meeting will still be held to discuss the future
------------------------------------------------------------------------------------------------------------
The time has again come for the AGM for WARCMCC
to be held at Moojebing Res on the 10th of October 2009
All members will receive mail for time and date.
All members and supporters welcome.
Voting for current full members only
Memberships will be due and hopefully all will be revealed.
More exciting information to follow.
Well we now have our Lease back at Moojebing Reserve and will be
starting on the 20th September 2009
So we are now trying to get back to racing and are having our first open race meeting for electric cars only, All on road classes welcome.
The WARCMCC has made a great deal of progress for track development and promotion.
It has been suggested to the committee about how our facility could be best maintained by the people that are using it.
It will help the club with promotion and further support for All Concerned.
WARCMCC committee has been working hard to improve the complex and structure for all members of both gas and electric categories.
The committee has worked out a proposal that all funding from racing fees remains at the facility where it originated. So that it helps to maintain the complex for the future for all to enjoy. In this way it will reduce the ongoing costs of insurance and fees that the club requires.
Please contact any member of the committee for further information. Contacts
And now a message from the Committee @ 27June 2009
Well the site is finally back up after some considerable dramas caused by what I would call a blemish on earth. We now have access to domains etc etc ...through the site so if you would like a site-domain ask the committee about it, we can recommend the group and the club may get a rebate which will help save us some money.
We are still dealing with red tape on all fronts for leasing and funding with all aspects of the track. But we may have some very good news on all counts. So we hope to be up and racing shortly.
If you are not aware the state titles were raced in Bunbury on the last weekend of May.
Congratulations to those concerned nice job. There are a few up and coming young drivers on there way so it would be nice to see a track that gas cars could run on gain. Hopefully we will have some results, times and photos to link to .....Nice job Bunbury great meeting.
It was widely discussed at the meeting to return to Bayswater and run electric. We will be in contact with a few suppliers to see if we can rattle out a deal if we are able to generate the numbers for a large order we may get some sort of discount. If you have any ideas give us a call or email.
So if you would like to show some interest in this and to get back racing let us know ASAP. We already have a group ready to run 1/10th scale.
Important message from W.A.R.C.M.C.C. President
To all WARCMCC members
We have had the meeting with the Council and presented the drawings and
proposal regarding the track. The council required some further information
regarding noise, so we have sent the noise survey that was done at Bayswater
for them to look at. We do not expect an answer from them for some time.
David Braund has sent out a number of proposals to various councils
regarding the availability of land for the possibility of a new track. One of the sites is a
redevelopment of a large recreational area and we believe we may fit the
criteria proposed for the redevelopment.
David has been continuing negotiation with the Bayswater council regarding
the lease on our existing track, when this has been finalized we intend
running electric events........we will keep you posted.
David has put in a huge amount of work preparing these proposals and
tracking down leads on sites that may suit our needs, thanks David for all
your hard work it is much appreciated.
If any member has any leads on land that they think may be suitable for a new track please let David or myself know and we will contact the appropriate council.
We will continue to keep you informed as best we can on any progress
regarding the existing track or availability of land for a new track.
If any member wishes to discuss any issue please feel free to call me on my
mobile which is listed on the web site.
